Europe Tour of Maxim Vengerov
Celebrated violinist Maxim Vengerov embarked upon a European tour in 2026, which saw the internationally acclaimed musician travelling to several major cultural centres over a number of different countries, including Hamburg, Potsdam, Berlin, and Prague. Performing in some of the continent’s acclaimed halls, this latest tour offered audiences the chance to experience one of the most revered violinists of our generation in a series of powerful live performances, presented in collaboration with leading orchestras and conductors from across Europe.
The tour began on the 12th of April in Hamburg, where Vengerov appeared at the Grand Hall of the Laeiszhalle alongside the Symphoniker Hamburg under the baton of Emmanuel Villaume. In the historic setting of one of Hamburg’s most important concert halls, Vengerov brought his distinctive sound in an interpretation of a wide-ranging programme that highlighted his unique style and energy.
Two days later, on April 14th, Vengerov continued his German appearances with a performance at the Nikolaisaal Potsdam, where he was joined by the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin under the direction of Christoph Koncz. The concert offered a further opportunity to hear his interpretation of the same repertoire, this time in collaboration with one of Germany’s leading orchestral ensembles.
The following evening, on April 15th, the tour moved to the German capital, with Vengerov appearing at the Großer Saal of the Berliner Philharmonie, as he once again performed with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Christoph Koncz, bringing the musical works to one of Europe’s most prestigious concert stages.
Vengerov’s European journey finally came to a close in Czechia, with a performance on the 26th of April at the Smetana Hall in the capital of Prague. For this final engagement, he appeared with the Prague Philharmonia under the baton of Emmanuel Villaume, returning to his set programme to offer audiences a further encounter with these celebrated works.
