Armenia International Music Festival 2023
Between the 14th of September and the 11th of October, CMDI shall be organising the 2023 Armenia International Music Festival, the latest iteration of a festival that has been running since 2017, to great local and international acclaim.
Marking the 7th edition of this event, this year’s festival shall be hosted at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, one of the most spectacular venues in the Armenian capital of Yerevan, and will see no fewer than seven symphonic concerts being held on its premises.
Throughout its month-long duration, audiences will be able to witness some of the top soloists active today in live performance, including Stephen Waarts (violin), Zee Zee (piano), Yekwon Sunwoo (piano), Gabriel Schwabe (cello), Xiaozhuo Wang (violin), and Marc Bouchkov (violin).
They will be performing alongside the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra (ASSO), who will be occupying the position of Orchestra-in-Residence, along with a number of preeminent conductors such as Daniel Boico, John Warner, Ricardo Casero, and Roeland Henkens.
Audiences will be able to witness performances of historic and contemporary masterpieces, with the festival’s eclectic programme featuring works from Alexander Spendiaryan, Aram Khachaturian, Yervand Yerkanian, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Alexander Borodin, Gagik Hovunts, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and contemporary composers Karl Jenkins and Alexey Shor.
