Clarinet Tour of Fabrizio Meloni in Europe
Italian clarinettist Fabrizio Meloni completed a short European concert tour in 2026, travelling to Austria and Spain to present two concerts in venues across the countries. Offering a compelling showcase of the clarinet as a solo instrument, Meloni placed its lyrical warmth, expressive flexibility, and virtuosic brilliance at the very centre of the symphonic stage, as he collaborated with renowned orchestras and conductors in some of the most acclaimed venues that his host countries have to offer.
The tour opened on the 19th of April at the Mozarteum Salzburg, one of the most important and historic musical institutions in Europe. For this performance, Meloni appeared alongside the Augsburger Philharmoniker, under the baton of Domonkos Héja, with whom he presented a varied programme of music.
The clarinettist's tour then continued on May 2nd in Spain, where he appeared at the Teatro Monumental de Madrid with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada and conductor Lucas Macías Navarro. Returning once again to the same programme, Meloni brought the works into a different orchestral and cultural setting, allowing their colours and character to unfold through a new artistic collaboration.
