ClaviCologne International Piano Festival
From the 3rd to the 8th of April 2023, CMDI will be organizing the 10th anniversary edition of the International ClaviCologne Festival and Academy, which will be hosted in the Austrian city of Salzburg in a collaborative effort with the city's famed Mozarteum University.
Building on Salzburg's rich history of music education, this iteration of the festival will present a series of masterclasses focusing on the schools of piano, organ and hammerklavier. Across the course of the festival, students of these instruments from all around the world will have the opportunity to further their musical abilities and gain a unique insight into the minds of some of the most celebrated pedagogues and musicians working today.
Professors within the Piano school include amongst them Milana Chernyavska (Germany/Ukraine), Ya-Fei Chuang (Taiwan/USA), Pavel Gililov (Austria/Germany), Giuliano Mazzoccante (Italy), Piotr Paleczny (Poland), and Ashley Wass ( United Kingdom). The classes for the Organ school, meanwhile, will be led by Hannfried Lucke (Germany/Austria), while students of the Hammerklavier will be taught by Wolfgang Brunner (Austria).
In addition, these maestros will also be joined by Special Guest Professor Arie Vardi (Israel), who shall be delivering a one-off workshop and open masterclass on the 7th of April.
