World Tour of Maxim Vengerov — CMDI EVENTS LLC

From 2022 to 2024, CMDI is organising an extensive multi-stop global tour for the legendary violinist Maxim Vengerov. Widely acknowledged as the one of the world’s greatest living string players, Vengerov has spent 40 years performing on stage. First making headlines as a child prodigy, he studied with Galina Tourchaninova and Zakhar Bron, becoming a solo violinist at the age of five and making his first recording at the age of 10. Since then, he has gone on to win Grammy and Gramophone artist of the year awards, and was recently appointed Classic FM’s first ever solo Artist in Residence, among many other accolades and awards.

For this tour, which opens on the 4th of November 2022, the maestro will be joining forces with pianist Roustem Saitkoulov, a long-time collaborator with whom he has shared the stage on multiple occasions. Together the duo will present a varied and eclectic programme consisting of some of the most acclaimed entries in the repertoire, including a piece by the contemporary composer Alexey Shor.

The tour will open in the Italian city of Chieti in 2022, before moving to Dubai, UAE for a concert at Dubai Opera on the 8th of March 2023. This will be followed by a stop at the architectural marvel that is the Palau de la Música in Barcelone, Spain, where the two will perform the opening concert at the Ibermusica festival on the 17th of October 2023.

Vengerov and Saitkoulov shall then travel to Paris, France where they will feature at the Salle Gaveau on the 18th of December 2023, before making an appearance at the Sinopoli Hall in Rome, Italy on the 31st of January 2024. The tour will then be brought to a close with a final concert on the 6th of December 2024 at the Prinzregententheater in Munich, Germany.World Tour of Maxim Vengerov
